March Newsletter 3/1/2026
As the “Apostle Paul” would say “Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.
I praise thee O’Lord for thy Son of Thy Love; For Jesus who died and is now gone above.
The past month certainly had its challenges on Union City Baptist as well as many area churches having to cancel worship service and events on weather related incidents.
Michelle and I were able and honored to attend a KBC Main Office on Tuesday 2/24/2026 for a meet and greet as a wonderful lunch together with the KBC Staff and many pastors and their wives. We learned a lot about our Convention and how the Cooperative Program plays a major role in the KBC Life daily. While there at this meeting I requested (beforehand) a detailed geographical breakdown of a 5-mile radius area from the center of our church location (I have that available for you to view, just ask and I’ll get you a copy) but WOW it’s exciting to see the opportunities we have here surrounding us to reach the lost and community with the great news of the Gospel.
The month of March has some very exciting happenings.
March 1st - Lords Super Observed.
March 8th - Daylight saving Time Begins. Hallelujah!!
March 20th - First Day of Spring
March 28th - VBS Clinic at FBC Richmond 8:30-12:30. “SAY YES to VBS!”
March 29th - Palm Sunday.

We have many opportunities to serve here at UCBC, if you feel God leading you in a direction, please feel free to contact me or any deacon to express your calling.
I have ordered some “Welcome Bags” and some material to go in them to hand out to visitors as they enter the church.
We are excited about what God is and is going to use Union City Baptist Church in the coming days ahead.
I will begin a “Series of Messages about the Cross” leading up to Easter Sunday (April 5th, 2026) SUNRISE Service at 7:00 on Easter Sunday Morning will be held here at Union City Baptist with Bro, Chip Denif and the congregation of Union City Christian Church as we unite together in the Lord to honor Him and the Resurrection of our Savior.
Also, I’m excited that we are planning on installing a “Digital Screen Display Monitor” outside where the old sign is today for the church and community announcements.
I will be attending the KBC REACH Conference in Louisville Ky on March 9th-10th.
I may or may not go on a mission trip (KBC invited me) in April with the KBC to spread the Gospel in South Florida on April 20th-22nd. Please pray about this with me.
As I close, check our prayer list and pray daily.
Just also want to mention that we have been talking about a “Praise & Worship Team.” I have contacted some worship leaders and they say to get this started we will need anyone who plays an instrument or sings to step forward and see what talent God has placed among our church and go from there, so if you have a talent please come forward and we will work on implementing a Praise & Worship Team in our church.
