From the Pastor’s Desk:
April Newsletter 5/1/2026
I praise thee O’Lord for thy Son of Thy Love; For Jesus who died and is now gone above.
Well by the Lord's divine guidance, we have made it through March and into April and now we begin the month of May. Hard to believe already and Graduation month. (if there is any student in our Congregation who is graduating this month - Please bring it to my attention).
The month of May has some very exciting happenings.
We are already excited about our upcoming VBS at UCBC this July beginning on Sunday July 12th at 6:30pm nightly. Start praying early-NOW.
Thank you all for contributing to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering. We exceeded our goal
We have many opportunities to serve here at UCBC, if you feel God leading you in a direction, please feel free to contact me or any deacon to express your calling.
We have some New Visitor “Welcome Bags” and some nice info material to go in them to hand out as they enter our church.
There will be NO evening service (6:30) on May 3 due to a wedding rehearsal and none on May 10 (Mother’s Day)
I’m so excited and looking forward to May 17th at 6:30 we will have host Singing Evening at UCBC with THE PROVERBS 31 SINGERS from Versailles KY. Lets invite Everyone to Join us!!
Baby Bottle campaign (AFFIRM - Madison County Pregnancy Help Center runs from Mother’s Day to Father’s Day. Grab a Baby Bottle and put either a Check or Cash in it to help this God-Centered awesome organization out today.
Also, I’m excited that we are planning on installing a “Digital Screen Display Monitor” outside where the old sign is today for the church and community announcements. Bro, Eldon Howard has agreed to help re-do the interior of the sign on the property now and it will also house our new LED Digital Screen.
Some other Great News for UCBC is God has given us an awesome vision to look into adding a possible new steel structure adjacent to the sanctuary that to begin with will become our accessible Fellowship Hall and Multi - Purpose Facility which will be ground level and easily accessible to all to enjoy in the near future. Possible structure size 60’ X 84’ X 18’. As always though PRAY, PRAY for God's guidance all the way as we seek His Leadership.
Michelle and I will be out on Sunday, June 7th as we make our journey to Orlando, FL for the annual Southern Baptist Convention that we love attending and supporting every year. Brother Tony Hancock will be in the pulpit on Sunday, June 7th.
I have been staying busy doing what I love, and God called me to do, preaching, counseling, studying the Word, doing weddings and consulting with those grieving loss in the family.
As I close, check our prayer list and pray daily. As a side note, I also want to mention that we have been talking about a “Praise Worship Team.” I have contacted some worship leaders and they say to get this started we will need anyone who plays an instrument or sings to step forward and see what talent God has placed among our church and go from there, so if you have a talent please come forward and we will work on implementing a Praise Team in our church.
Your Pastor,
