From the Pastor’s Desk:

February Newsletter 2/1/2026

As the “Apostle Paul” would say “Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.

As I get settled in and we begin to trust and get to know each other more and more I believe God will do great wonders at Union City Baptist Church. We have seen God at work already with 2- souls saved and the ordinance of Baptism displayed in our church. I am truly blessed by each and every one of you and in return I pray you feel the same. As your shepherd/pastor I’m here to warn, advise and protect you spiritually through divine guidance in His Word as best I can under the leadership of The Holy Spirit.

The new year has already been a challenging one as far as the weather is concerned, having to cancel church services and postpone a baptism, but God is aware and understands. We wouldn't want to see and hear about anyone getting injured or worse.

I was able to attend a KBC Missions Cohorts meeting on Thursday 1/29/2026 at the Baptist Student Union on EKU’s Campus and see how your giving and our churches giving to the Cooperative Program, Lottie Moon and Annie Armstrong Offerings support Missionaries around the globe and you are a part of their support to spread the Gospel.

Please remember our Sunday School and strive to attend if you're not. Also remember to invite people you know to come visit us. We have some exciting things coming to reach our community and, in our sanctuary, we will soon be replacing the old projector and screen with two new large TVs mounted on each side of the baptism pool for easier, clearer viewing.

As I close, check our prayer list and pray daily. As a side note, I will be in attendance at the KBC Office in Louisville on Tuesday, February 24. Just also want to mention that we have been talking about a “Praise Worship Team.” I have contacted some worship leaders and they say to get this started we will need anyone who plays an instrument or sings to step forward and see what talent God has placed among our church and go from there, so if you have a talent please come forward and we will work on implementing a Praise Team in our church.
